Walsh College Raises $107,000 at Wine Gala Scholarship Benefit

Walsh College raised $107,000 for student scholarships from alumni, friends, sponsors, and the public attending its 12th annual Wine Gala at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Mich., held earlier this month.

Total dollars raised for scholarships in the event’s history now stand at more than $700,000.

“Our deserving business students benefit directly from the generous support generated from this important event,” said Audrey Olmstead, vice president and chief development officer.  “We are very grateful for the interest and commitment to the high-quality business education that is a hallmark of Walsh College.”

More than 350 people attended the event.  Rare wines for the evening were donated from the private collections of Van Conway, member, Walsh College Board of Trustees, and Bob Cummings, a Walsh College friend.  Cummings has donated rare wines to the event since it began.

Corporate sponsors for the Wine Gala included Auburn Pharmaceutical, CareTech Solutions, Clayton & McKervey, Comerica Bank, Conway MacKenzie, Deloitte, DTE Energy, Ernst & Young, Emagine, Powerlink, and Wealth Management Services.
