I love Halloween! There is nothing better than sitting on my porch handing out candy to all the excited kids. I don’t have any children, so it’s my yearly update of what’s going on in the real world. Last year I was surprised to see so many kids dressed up as Star Wars and Transformer characters. It’s crazy how all that stuff just keeps coming back. I can’t wait to see what the “In” costume is going to be this year.
Frequently I find myself searching for a new way to market myself. That’s one of the difficult tasks in real estate. As I thought about it, I couldn’t help but think about Halloween. Maybe I will stick my business card in the kids candy bags? LOL! That would probably end up getting my house egged! I have found one of my best resources for getting my name and business to the masses has been through Facebook. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve this Halloween. I am launching a new website. It’s currently under construction. When it is done it will be your one stop shop for real estate. Pretty exciting stuff. The market is still moving at lightning speed. Interest rates are still low, and so is the inventory. If you’re thinking about selling it’s a great time because of the time of year. So many people assume the market stops this time of year. Last December nearly 700 homes sold in Macomb county alone. This past January the numbers were very similar. Sure we sell more homes in the spring and summer, but when you list your home in the winter months there isn’t as much inventory so you will command more money.
