Flood Warning Remains in Effect for Macomb, Roads Closed

The National Weather Service is predicting more heavy rainfall for the area and 21 Mile Road at Romeo Plank (near Waldenburg Park) has been closed due to flooding.

A flood warning remains in effect for Macomb County until 11:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

A second stream of showers and thunderstorms is expected to hit the area Thursday afternoon and there is the potential that these storms will bring more heavy rainfall.

Wednesday's showers dropped 2-4 inches of rain across the area and there have been reports of flooding in Macomb. The NWS warns that additional rainfall this afternoon could worsen the flooding or lead to new flooding.
