Further Wage Reductions Made in Chippewa Valley Schools

A 4-percent reduction in the 2011-12 wage rate has been made for all at-will/nonaffiliated hourly paid positions without benefits for the 2011-12 school year.

in Chippewa Valley Schools will now affect even at-will/nonaffiliated hourly paid positions such as preschool teachers, lifeguards, athletic trainers and latchkey workers in the 2011-12 school year.

On Monday, the school board approved a 4-percent reduction in the 2011-12 wage rate for all at-will/nonaffiliated hourly paid positions without benefits (Group A). Those same positions with health benefits will have to pay at least 10 percent of the cost for those benefits and will continue to be paid at the 2011-12 rate (Group B).
