Gas Prices Drop in Macomb Monday
Gas prices along Hall Road dropped below $4 Monday afternoon for the first time in weeks.
With the average price per gallon of regular gas at $4.10 statewide, the $3.99 per gallon prices spotted Monday afternoon were a welcome sight at local pumps.
According to AAA Michigan's Fuel Gauge Report, Monday's decrease is the first weekly decline in 12 weeks. However, the statewide average remains about $1.22 per gallon higher than last year at this time.
Prices were expected to drop due to the price of oil falling 15 percent last week to less than $100 a barrel.
