Grab & Go Kids Planner: Baby Animals, Kermit's Cousins and Thomas the Tank

Meet baby animals, learn about our frog friends and see the Macombers in concert and more this week.


Where/When: Wolcott Mill Farm Center; 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., April 26-30.
Why Go: Take a tour of the center and visit with baby farm animals, take a few photos and learn a bit about life on the farm.
Pricing: $3 per person. Reservations required.


Where/When: ; Friday, April 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday, April 30, 9 a.m.-noon.
Why Go: Drop by for great deals on household items, clothing, toys and more, and buy some fresh goodies at the bake sale to take home and enjoy.
Pricing: $1 early bird admission 9-1o a.m. Friday.


Where/When: St. Therese of Lisieux Parish; Saturday, April 30, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go: Get swabbed and potentially save a life. This bone marrow donor drive is to help Shelby resident Kyle Nicholson, who was diagnosed with leukemia last winter, and now he needs a donor. Adults in good health are encouraged to stop in, fill out a form and get swabbed and registered in the bone marrow registry. You never know, the 1o minutes it takes could result in saving someone's life.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Wolcott Mill Historic Center; Saturday, April 30, noon-4 p.m.
Why Go: Learn about our amphibious friends as you take a frog safari, make froggie crafts, meet live frogs and find out how we can help Kermit's cousins, all in conjunction with National Save the Frog Day.
Pricing: $5 for adults; $3 per child. Preregistration required.


Where/When: Greenfield Village, 20900 Oakwood Blvd., Dearborn; April 30-May 1, varying times.
Why Go: Thomas the Tank Engine will chug his way into Greenfield Village for three weekends, and families can enjoy a ride with Thomas around the village, meet Sir Topham Hatt, hear stories and live music, shop and much more.
