Why Go: Think green and great fun, as this festival celebrates the earth and all things renewable. Events are planned each day, from live music and fine food to a parade and pep rally on Sunday.

Why Go: Bring the kids to Lakeshore Learning Center where they can do a free craft. Today's project is an "It's a Jungle! Collage," where they'll let their imaginations run wild and use foam stickers, paints, fabric flowers and more to make something that's all fun.

Why Go: The Huron-Clinton Metroparks have designated several days this year as Family Appreciation Days, including May 14. There will be free use of select facilities and special programs. Vehicle entry and boat launch fees will be waived that day.
