Picture This: Patch Needs Your Photos to Fill Our Neighborhood Gallery

Having a wonderful day in the neighborhood? Share a photo of it with us!

New to our website is the "Neighborhood Gallery," a visual look at the people, places and events that make Macomb Township so unique.

The "Add to Neighborhood Gallery" button under the search bar on the Macomb Patch homepage is your key to sharing photos of your family, friends and activities with other Macomb Patch readers in a quick and easy way.

We receive countless emails with school, church and community event photos attached. We admit it sometimes takes us too long to get to them, though we welcome all reader-submitted photos and news. 

But with the new Neighborhood Gallery, you'll be able to bypass our often-crowded inboxes and upload the photos onto Patch yourself.

Here’s how it works:

1. Log in. If you have not already done so, sign up on Macomb Patch. You’ll find the “sign up” link in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage.
2. Not far below the sign up and log in area you’ll see a button that says, “Add to the Neighborhood Gallery.” Click on that.
3. Now you’ll find yourself in the Neighborhood Gallery. There are already some photos and video there. To add yours, simply click the “Upload Photos & Videos” button.
4. Select the items you’d like to add from your computer.
5. It’ll a take a few seconds to process your image (longer for video).
6. Add a caption to tell us what's happening, or where the photo was taken.
7. Finally, upload more photos or return to the article.
8. Your photo or video is now ready to view!

Feel free to send us an email to let us know that you added a photo to the gallery — and let us know what you think of the process.

The gallery will be prominently featured on all article pages, so all of Patch will see your news!
