Pitchfork-Wielding Macomb Township Man Threatens Neighbor's Sons

Information in this crime blotter was supplied by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests apply, they do not indicate convictions.

A 61-year-old Macomb Township man was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after he threatened his neighbor’s children with a pitchfork, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said this week.

Ross Baumann was arrested May 23 after a 48-year-old woman told deputies he appeared on her porch on the 54000 block of Ashley Lauren with a pitchfork. He threatened to kill her two teenaged sons, saying they were “destroying the neighborhood,” the Sheriff’s Office stated.

Deputies were then led to nearby street Katherine Wood, where Baumann was placed in custody. He was arraigned in 41A District Court in Shelby Township and placed on a $10,000 interim bond, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Assault with a dangerous weapon is a felony punishable by up to four years imprisonment.
