Power Outage at 23 Mile and Koss Roads

Repair crews are on the scene but are unsure how long it will take to restore power to the area.

At approximately 3 p.m., neighborhoods in the area of 23 Mile and Koss roads lost power.

DTE Energy and AT&T crews at the scene said they believed a short in the power line to be the cause of both the outage and the fire on the telephone line just outside Koss Farms subdivision.

Macomb Township firefighters were able to quickly douse the fire in the telephone line, but the outer casing of a portion of the line had been melted off.
