In today's news, the township trustees bring the Ebeling crossing guard issue back to the table, this week's deals focus on those headed back to school and National S'mores Day demands your indulgence.

  • One of the coolest days this summer, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 75 degrees. The temperature continues to drop throughout the day as partly cloudy skies lead to a low around 56 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Anyone headed out this evening might want to grab a light jacket.
  • For parents, the countdown to back to school has begun. Even if you don't have your child's supply list yet, these back-to-school deals around town should help you cover the basics.
