  • You may have to head back to work, but someone forgot to tell Mother Nature the holiday weekend ended Monday. The glorious July 4 weather continues today with mostly sunny skies and a high near 89 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms late tonight, but temps will only drop to 69 degrees in the evening.
  • In recognition of Macomb Township's German roots, we bring you the German Word of the Day: fertig, meaning finished, is an adjective pronounced [fare-tik]. 
  • Loved? Loved. Service? Service. A community outreach campaign to uplift Detroit, 2WordStory inspired more than 500 interdenominational churches across Metro Detroit to reach into their communities with service and volunteerism. Macomb Township's own Lakepointe Church also took part in the initiative.
  • In this week's Golf Macomb, Patch reporter John McTaggert tees off at Bello Woods Golf Course. McTaggert takes his love for the game to courses all across Macomb Township and details his adventures in the weekly series, Golf Macomb. 
  • will be offered at 2 p.m. at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library North Branch. Children will get a chance to meet a trained therapy dog and read him a story. PAWS offers fun bonding time with an animal and a relaxed way to practice reading aloud. There is no preregistration required.
