The weather looks beautiful, the final Harry Potter comes out in a week and we've got news fast this Friday. Read on Macomb!
- This week will end just as beautifully as it started, with sun-filled skies and a high temperature near 86 degrees. The evening sky will be mostly clear, with a low around 64 degrees, and the weekend will roll in with high temperatures in the high 80s, according to the National Weather Service.
- In recognition of Macomb Township's German roots, we bring you the German Word of the Day: zuerst, meaning first, is an adverb pronounced [tsu-airst].
- A Dakota alumnus is taking a gamble on a poker table in Las Vegas this July. Chris Boylan will take his hand-crafted poker table to the 2011 American Wood and Furniture Show Fresh Wood Competition on July 20.
- The Chippewa Valley school board voted in February to allocate almost $4 million to install new playground equipment, add a 1/8-mile walking track, new signage and landscaping at all 12 elementary buildings. We have a photo gallery of the progress made so far.
