Want to Use Facebook and Twitter? Let Patch Show You How at the Library

Social media is not just for kids! Come join Patch for a special program Thursday at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library's Main Branch to explore how to use Facebook and Twitter.

Harsh as it may sound, when it comes to social media networks like Facebook and Twitter, it's get with it, or get lost.

So to help you "get with it," Macomb Patch is partnering with the library to offer a program that explores the uses of Facebook and Twitter for adults, seniors and small businesses on at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library's Main Branch.

The program is free and all you need to do is bring yourself, a notepad and an open mind. To register for this event call 586-226-5040 or visit the What’s Happening page at www.cmpl.org.

Whether you're looking to connect with friends and family or want to use social media to expand your small business, Patch Editor Jenny Whalen will demonstrate the advantages, use and setup of Facebook and Twitter during this one-hour program.

There's no denying that these networks are changing the way we connect, gather information and interact with the world in which we live. It's never too late to get started and even if you're already using these social networks, there's always something new to learn.
