Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) for Diabetes

A six-week workshop sponsored by Michigan State University Extension and Beaumont Health System. The cost is $30 for the full six weeks; $15 for the second person from a household (sharing materials). Register at http://events.anr.msu.edu/DPATH41714/.

The PATH for
Diabetes workshop provides information and skills to adults with diabetes and
their family members.  Workshops are run
by trained leaders who hold informal, small group discussions and provide
easy-to-understand course materials.  Facilitators explain ways to reduce pain and stress, cope
with fatigue, use medications wisely, and benefit from healthy eating and exercise.  Participants also learn about self-help
methods that can enhance daily activities.
They are encouraged to practice these skills by making weekly action
plans and helping each other to achieve their goals.
