Macomb Township Recreation Center Hosts Blood Drive

Give blood and give potentially three people a new lease on life. The Macomb Township Recreation Center is home to a blood drive 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, giving donors a broad window of time to donate.

The local blood supply is currently critically low, so this is a good and simple way to help. It doesn't take very long, usually no longer than an hour, and to give one must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in overall good health.

To schedule an appointment, please contact the American Red Cross at (800) 733-2767 or go online by entering the code “macombctr” at www.redcrossblood.org. An appointment is not needed, but those who set a time to donate will be given first priority.
