Will We Have a White Christmas in Macomb?

There's a pretty good chance we will. But how good?

The long range forecasts are in for Wednesday and it looks as if Macomb Township has a pretty good shot at having a white Christmas.

The Aol seven-day forecast is predicting snow showers and a high of 30 degrees on Christmas Day.

It's worth noting that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) considers a white Christmas one inch of snow on the ground at 6 a.m on Dec. 25.

According to NOAA, the historic probability of there being at least one inch of snow on the ground in on Christmas Day in southeast Michigan on any given year is in the 41 to 50 percent range based on U.S. Climate Normals.
