Lutheran North experiences a real "High School Musical," voters are asked to approve new millage for education and the Your Patch of Michigan Photo Contest comes to an end in today's news.

  • With a little luck, we'll miss the rain today, for there's only a 40 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m. The National Weather Service is predicting areas of fog before 8 a.m., but otherwise, partly sunny skies, with a high near 70 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy in the evening, with a low around 54 degrees. 
  • When the directors at Lutheran North selected Disney's High School Musical as the school's fall production, they never thought the story behind the show would become a reality for the cast. 
  • Nov. 8 may be more than a month away, but voters should start thinking now whether they are open to the 1.2 mill property tax proposal on the ballot. This millage would fund programs for special education students in Macomb County.
