18-Year-Old Macomb Resident Hit by Car in Ann Arbor, Injured

An 18-year-old Macomb Township resident was struck by an alleged drunken driver in Ann Arbor early Saturday morning.

An 18-year-old Macomb Township resident was hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning while crossing Packard Street in Ann Arbor, according to AnnArbor.com.

The accident occurred at 2:28 a.m. Saturday, as the Macomb resident was crossing near the 1000 block of Packard Street. Ann Arbor police arrested the 25-year-old driver, from Pittsfield Township, on a charge of operating while intoxicated, according to AnnArbor.com.

AnnArbor.com reported that the Macomb resident was taken to the University of Michigan hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
