UPDATE: 2 Richmond Residents Killed in Macomb Township Crash

Three-car accident at Romeo Plank and 23 Mile Road leaves two elderly Richmond residents dead and two others injured.

Two elderly Richmond residents were killed Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of 23 Mile and Romeo Plank roads.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the crash occurred just after noon. The victims were identified as Richmond residents Carmine Fallone, 77, and his wife Adele, 75.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a 2008 GMC Envoy was stopped for the traffic signal westbound on 23 Mile Road in the center turn lane waiting to
turn southbound onto Romeo Plank. A 1992 Grand Marquis, also traveling westbound on 23 Mile Road approaching Romeo Plank, was unable to stop and struck the GMC Envoy. The Grand Marquis then veered into the eastbound lane of 23 Mile Road and struck a 2007 Dodge Caravan head on. The Caravan was going eastbound on 23 Mile Road.
