$5,000 in Jewelry, Cash Reported Stolen in Macomb Twp. Home Break-ins

Owners estimate $5K in jewelry stolen in home break-in

On Aug. 13, at approximately 9:24 p.m., homeowners in the 16600 block of White Plains Drive reported break-in to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found the intruder, or intruders, had gained entry to the home by kicking in the front door. The homeowners reported an estimated $5,000 in jewelry missing. No other items in the home were reported missing, according to the police report.

There are no suspects at this time.

On Aug. 13, at approximately 1:57 p.m., homeowners in the 19700 block of Chesterbrook Drive reported a break-in to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.

There were no fingerprints found at the scene, but deputies suspect the intruder, or intruders, broke in through an insecure door wall, according to the police report.

The intruder broke into a safe in the bedroom and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No other items in the home were reported missing, according to the police report.

There are no suspects at this time.

Bag of Adderall pills found in glove box during traffic stop

On Aug. 15, at approximately 1:02 a.m., a 21-year-old Shelby Township woman was stopped in the area of Pimenta and 25 Mile Road by a Macomb County Sheriff's deputy.

A preliminary search of her vehicle uncovered a plastic bag filled with Adderall in the glove box. Adderall is a prescription drug used to control symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Unable to produce a prescription for the medication, the woman was arrested for possession of analogs, according to the police report.

Arrest for possesion of narcotic paraphernalia made in Shawnee lot

On Aug. 12, at approximately 12:21 a.m., a 21-year-old Macomb Township man was arrested in the parking lot of for possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

A Macomb County Sheriff’s deputy found a glass pipe and remnants of marijuana in the man’s possession, according to the police report.
