Alleged Drunken Driver Involved in Hit and Run Accident

Hit and run

Macomb County Sheriff deputies were dispatched March 12 to the scene of a hit-and-run, car crash on Hall Road in Macomb Township. According to reports, deputies were able to locate the vehicle, with heavy front-end damage, in a parking lot on Hall Road and Heydenreich. Deputies found the driver of the vehicle behind the wheel and uninjured, and could smell intoxicants on the driver. The driver, a 26-year-old Clinton Township man, was uncooperative and transported to a hospital for a blood draw, police said. He was charged with resisting and obstructing, operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident.

Macomb County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle March 12 in the parking lot of St. Isidore and could smell marijuana coming from vehicle. According to reports, deputies searched the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana in an ashtray. The 30-year-old woman, from Royal Oak, said the marijuana "must belong to her boyfriend" who has a Medical Marijuana license, the report stated. She was arrested for possession of marijuana.
