Bonds Kept High for Men Accussed of Assaulting Dakota Teens

The men will return to court on Aug. 3 for their preliminary examinations.

The preliminary exams of three men who four Dakota High School teens were adjourned Friday morning until 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the 41A District Court in Sterling Heights.

Vincent Bosca, Gerald Henry King Jr., and Allen Roy Brontkowski stood before 41A District Court Judge Kimberly A. Wiegand and waived their 14-day preliminary hearing rule, thus clearing the way for the adjournment of the preliminary exam until Aug. 3.

Attorneys for King and Brontkowski both asked for bond reductions–from $250,000 to $100,000–but their requests were denied by Wiegand.

"The court feels that these bonds are appropriate," Wiegand said. "These are serious charges."
