Cloud-to-ground lightning strikes during this morning's storms are believed to have caused three house fires in Macomb Township Tuesday.
Macomb Township fire crews responded to a home on Bluejay Drive, just off 21 Mile and Heydenreich, around 10:15 a.m. today where a lightning strike to the home's roof is believed to have started the blaze.
Macomb Patch reader Patti Mitchell Houston texted these photos from the scene.
Crews also responded to homes on Shenandoah, near 22 Mile and Card roads, and Cheltenham, near 23 Mile Road and Card, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said.
No injuries have been reported at the house on Bluejay and ClickonDetroit.com is reporting no serious injuries at the other two homes either.
