Dodge Caravan Stolen Near Hall and North Ave; Thieves Target Apple Products in Home Invasion

Dodge Caravan stolen from Gateway Drive

On Aug. 27, at approximately 6:25 a.m., a homeowner in the 22000 block of Gateway Drive reported a 2001 Dodge Caravan had been stolen from the street in front of the home.

There are no suspects at this time.

On Aug. 25, at approximately 3:49 p.m., a homeowner in the 46000 block of Arapahoe Drive reported a home invasion, listing money and a wallet as the stolen items.

The suspect or suspects are believed to have entered through an open window, according to the Macomb County sheriff’s report. There are no suspects at this time.

Detectives are continuing their investigation.

Apple products targeted in Corey Drive home invasion

On Aug. 24, at approximately 8:11 p.m., a homeowner in the 20900 block of Corey Drive reported a home invasion, listing the stolen items as an iPad and iPod.

The house was unlocked at the time of the theft, according to the sheriff's office. The suspect or suspects stole an iPad from the home and used a set of car keys left in the home to steal the iPod from the vehicle.

Macomb man arrested on third drunken driving offense

On Aug. 24, at approximately 9:47 p.m., a 49-year-old Macomb Township man was arrested in the area of Hall Road and Romeo Plank on his third drunken driving offense, according to the sheriff’s office.

The man registered a .26 blood alcohol level in a preliminary breath test conducted at the scene of the traffic stop, according to the sheriff's office.

The man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, third offense.

Kimball man arrested for drunken driving in northern Macomb

On Aug. 23, at approximately 8:44 p.m., a 40-year-old Kimball man was arrested in the area of 26 Mile and North Avenue for driving while intoxicated, first offense.

The man registered a .16 blood alcohol level in a preliminary breath test conducted at the scene of the traffic stop, according to the sheriff's office.

Homeowner finds unknown man in her garage

On Aug. 23, at approximately 8:05 a.m., a homeowner in the 47000 block of Southern Cross Drive reported finding an unknown man in her open attached garage.

The man, who is described as a white male in his early 40s, fled on foot and did not take anything from the home, according to the sheriff’s report.

The suspect has not been identified or arrested at this time.
