Feds Allege Clinton Township Foster Parent, Teacher Downloaded Child Porn

David Joseph Kiluk, 43, is facing charges of possessing and receiving child pornography.

A Clinton Township foster parent and Mount Clemens elementary teacher is facing charges of possessing and receiving child pornography this week after federal agents allegedly found more than 50 examples of child porn on his home computer, according to the Detroit News.

Federal prosecutors charged David Joseph Kiluk, who teaches fourth grade at George Washington Academy in Mount Clemens, with possessing and receiving child pornography on July 27.

Kiluk, 43, is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in federal court on Tuesday.

Following his arrest, Kiluk admitted to downloading more than 500 videos of child porn featuring boys as young as 10 years old, according to the Detroit News.

Although federal court records show Kiluk "told investigators he was attracted to boys," he denied ever having touched a child inappropriately, the Detroit News reports.

The Clinton Township resident was serving as the foster parent of an 8-year-old boy with a learning impairment and had previously fostered two other children. Upon being alerted of the pending charges, Children's Protective Services removed the boy from Kiluk's home, according to WXYZ.

WXYZ reports federal agents began investigating Kiluk earlier this month when "an agent with the Internet Crimes Against Children task force identified an IP address that was being used to share files that were identified as child pornography." The IP address was traced to Kiluk's home computer.
