Macomb Township Girl Did 'Exactly What She Should Have' when Confronted with Stranger Danger

A man in a clean, white minivan reportedly pulled into a driveway, blocking a 9-year-old girl as she bicycled along Country Club Drive, and asked her to "come here."

A 9-year-old Macomb Township girl did “exactly what she should have done” as she was riding her bicycle about 6 p.m. Monday and a stranger pulled his minivan into the driveway in front of her and asked her to “come here,” Macomb County Sheriff’s Office officials said.

She turned away, pedaled home and told her mother.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the report of the incident in the 16000 block of Country Club Drive, the Detroit Free Press reports. The man was reportedly driving white minivan, believed to be a late model.

The girl described him as white with brown or gray curly hair.

Lt. John Michalke said authorities received some calls in connection with the incident. Witnesses or others with information are asked to call the detective bureau at (586) 307-9358.
