Macomb Road Rage Driver Accused of Swinging Bat

A road rage incident Wednesday quickly devolved into an attack with a baseball bat on one of the driver's vehicles in Macomb Township, according to a Macomb County Sheriff report.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., a 29-year-old Macomb Township woman reported that she and a 30-year-old male, also from the township, exchanged insults and hand gestures while driving. The woman then followed the male driver to his home on Chevalier in Westbridge Manor Mobile Home Park, where he allegedly retrieved a baseball bat, according to the report.

The woman told deputies that he pointed the bat at her face and then swung it at her car, causing damage. The man denied her accusations, telling deputies that he did not own a baseball bat. However, he was arrested on suspicion of felonious assault when deputies found one in the corner of his garage, the report said.
