Macomb Twp. Stabbing Case Stretches Into Late August

Joseph T. Reiner, the suspect in the Feb. 23 stabbing of a Macomb Township woman, was set to appear in court today, but the date has been pushed back to Aug. 24.

Joseph T. Reiner, the suspect in the of a Macomb Township woman, was set to return to court today. However, an adjournment by Judge Douglas P. Shepherd has pushed the scheduled motion hearing to Aug. 24.

Reiner, a 27-year-old Fraser resident, is a suspect in the of a 69-year-old Macomb Township woman.

He is charged with first-degree home invasion and assault with intent to murder. Reiner is alleged to have stabbed Joann Eisenhardt twice in the neck following his forced entry into Eisenhardt's Fairchild and 22 Mile Road home.

He is currently being held in the Macomb Correctional Facility in New Haven, according to the Offender Tracking Information System.
