Police Blotter: 19-Year-Olds Arrested for Drunken Driving, Possession

Clinton teen attempts to hide from police, issued MIP

On March 28, at approximately 4:49 a.m., Macomb County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 54000 block of Myrica in Macomb Township on the report of a possible domestic violence assault involving an unwanted guest.

When deputies arrived at the home, the caller told them the suspect, a 19-year-old Clinton man, had already left the scene. The caller and suspect had had a physical fight and the suspect took the caller's car keys before leaving, according to the report.

Police later found the suspect hiding in the bushes nearby. The suspect told police he had been drinking. A preliminary breath test showed the man's blood alcohol content to be .086. Deputies arrested the man for minor in possession and lodged him in the Macomb County Jail on a $100 bond, according to the report.

Drunken driver arrested in area of Romeo Plank and 22 Mile

On March 30, at approximately 1:46 a.m., a Macomb County Sheriff's deputy stopped a 19-year-old Macomb Township man in the area of Romeo Plank and 22 Mile Road on suspicion of drunken driving.

While on patrol, the deputy noticed a car swerving along 22 Mile Road, crossing both the center and fog lines several times. Upon stopping the vehicle, the deputy noticed the man appeared intoxicated and asked him to perform several field sobriety tests and take a preliminary breath test. The man passed almost all of the sobriety tests, but had a .169 blood alcohol content, according to the report. 

The man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, and taken to the Macomb County Jail where he was held on a $100 bond, according to the report.
