Police Blotter: Arrests for Domestic Violence, Driving with Expired License Made in Macomb

Domestic Violence Arrest
At approximately 4:17 p.m. Oct. 17, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 46000 block of W. LaRoche Drive in Macomb Township for a report of domestic violence.
The 19-year-old Macomb Township woman who made the complaint told police she and her step-father had gotten into a physical and verbal altercation regarding a family matter. The step-father, a 37-year-old Macomb Township man, confirmed the woman's report that during the argument, he grabbed her mouth and shoved her away. The man also admitted to police that he attempted to stop the woman from calling the police during the argument, according to the report.

The man was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and interfering with a crime report. He was taken to the Macomb County Jail and lodged without bond, according to the police report.
Detroit Man Found Driving with Expired License, Improper Plate

At approximately 3:17 a.m. Oct. 16, Macomb County Sheriff's deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driving eastbound on 23 Mile Road. The 26-year-old Detroit resident was found to be driving with an expired license and improper plate, according to the police report. Police arrested the man for driving with an expired license and having an improper plate. He was taken to the Macomb County Jail and lodged on a $100 bond.
