Police Blotter: Arrests Made for Drunken Driving, Suspended License

Shelby Woman Arrested for Drunken Driving

On Jan. 6, at approximately 2:17 a.m., a Macomb County Sheriff's officer observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of 23 Mile Road and North Avenue in Macomb Township.

The officer initiated a stop and had the driver, a 26-year-old female from Shelby Township, perform a series of sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test was also administered, on which the woman registered a blood alcohol content of .149, according to the police report.

The woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated and given a $100 bond at the Macomb County Jail. The woman's vehicle was impounded and her license confiscated and destroyed, according to the police report.

Macomb Man Found Driving with Suspended License

On Jan. 8, at approximately 7:53 p.m., a Macomb County Sheriff's officer stopped a 35-year-old Macomb Township man in the area of North Avenue and Patnick.

The man was found to be driving with a suspended license and multiple outstanding warrants, according to the police report. The man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and transported to the Macomb County Jail. His vehicle was impounded, according to the police report.
