Police Blotter: Domestic Argument Ends in Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

On Sept. 30 at approximately 8:51 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's officers were dispatched to the 17000 block of York Drive in Macomb Township, for a report of possible felonious assault.

The caller, a 21-year-old Macomb Township man, told police his 22-year-old girlfriend, also of Macomb, threatened him with a knife when he attempted to get back into their shared home following an argument.

Upon the man's return into the home, the woman left the house. The man proceeded to follow her in his car and on foot through the neighborhood, according to the police report.

The man was arrested for domestic violence assault and taken to the Macomb County Jail where he was lodged without bond, according to the police report.

The woman, who had a driving while license suspended warrant out of Shelby Township, was turned over to the Shelby Township Police Department.
