Police Blotter: Drunken Driver Arrested in Area of North Avenue and Hall

On March 19, at approximately 6:21 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's officers stopped a vehicle in the area of North Avenue and Hall Road after observing the car swerve in its lane and cross the center lane of Groesbeck, according to the police report.

After stopping the vehicle on suspicion of drunken driving, police gave the 47-year-old female driver a series of field sobriety tests. The Macomb Township resident failed these tests and submitted to a preliminary breath test which revealed a blood alcohol content of .19, according to the report. 

Police arrested the woman for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and transported her to the Macomb County Jail where she was held on a $100 bond. The woman's license was confiscated, according to the report.
