Police Investigating Macomb Township Teen's Death

Teen was found dead along side of road in Novi.

Police are continuing to investigate how an 18-year-old Macomb Township teen heading home Saturday night from a dance party ended up dead along the side of Grand River Avenue in Novi, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press.

According to the report, Kostika Fushi, 18, was found by motorists at 10 a.m. Sunday in the 46700 block of Grand River. He had intended to attend the "Life in Color: World's Largest Paint Party" at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, an event where attendees are sprayed with paint, that had been scheduled to run from 7 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday.

According to the report, police are unsure if the teen made it into the party.

Investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before ruling on a cause of death, the report indicated, through an autopsy revealed signs of hypothermia, but no signs of trauma or foul play. Friends who accompanied the teen are being questioned.

Funeral services for the teen were held Friday in Shelby Township.
