Police Say Sam's Club Snickers Thief Caught 'Brown Handed'

A Macomb Township man was captured on camera five separate times unwrapping Snickers candy bars at Sam's Club and eating them in the store, police say.

OUTSIDE DETROIT, MI -- A 65-year-old man faces larceny charges after police say on multiple occasions he unwrapped Snickers chocolate bars at a local and ate the candy while he shopped.

The Macomb Township man, whose name has not been released pending arraignment on larceny charges, was caught on camera unwrapping the chocolate multipacks on five occasions in the past month, according to Utica police. 

Since the man allegedly unwrapped multipacks at the discount store in in Utica that can no longer be sold, Sam's Club estimates it has lost $116 in merchandise.

The man also faces charges of malicious destruction of property.
