Search Intensifies for Serial Pantyhose Flasher After Several More Sightings

Police believe the man who exposed himself at businesses while wearing sheer, blue pantyhose in Utica and Chesterfield Township this week could be the same person spotted in Rochester Hills, West Bloomfield, Auburn Hills and Canton.

Authorities in at least seven different communities around Metro Detroit say they could be searching for the same man who exposes himself while wearing pantyhose to employees and patrons of local businesses.

The man wore only a shirt and pantyhose with nothing underneath when he entered two Utica businesses Monday evening, .

Police say the man entered and , both located in a shopping plaza near Hall and Schoenherr roads, around 8:15 p.m. Monday. The man was captured on Plato's Closet surveillance video browsing racks. However, surveillance video from inside Plato's Closet captured the man brushing up against a woman. The surveillance video, obtained by Patch, accompanies this report.

"The woman recalls being bumped, but she wasn’t sure if it was the back or front of him, and if it was accidental because she was shopping," Faber said.

Faber said the man faces charges of indecent exposure , where he entered a salon and asked for a Brazilian wax. He was also seen at businesses in , , Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township and Canton Township.

Although the man was seen in communities bordering Macomb Township, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham told Macomb Patch Wednesday that he had not had a report of any incidents in the township itself.

The suspect is described as being in his late 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 190 pounds.

Police have not been able to identify the flasher, but Faber said he may be driving a white or light in color Jeep Cherokee.

Faber said the suspect could also be charged with criminal sexual conduct for his contact with the female shopper in Utica.
