A 41-year-old Sterling Heights woman was hospitalized on Thanksgiving after being shot by a gun that was being passed around inside a Washington Township home on Thanksgiving, according to Macomb County Sheriff's officials.
According to the report, a 56-year-old White Lake woman was handling the gun, which was being passed around inside a home at the 58000 block of Deerfield in Washington Township, when she pulled the trigger, apparently not realizing it was loaded. The gun reportedly discharged, with a bullet striking her sister, the 41-year-old Sterling Heights woman, in the arm. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital, the report indicated.
