Teen Tosses Weed Out Window at Traffic Stop; Woman Arrested for Pill Possession

Teen tosses weed out window as deputy approaches

On Aug. 21, at approximately 8:53 p.m., an 18-year-old Macomb Township man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the area of Riverwoods Drive and Hall Road.

The man was stopped on a routine traffic violation but was arrested for possession of marijuana after a Macomb County sheriff’s deputy saw him throw the marijuana out of his car window, according to the sheriff's report.

Man found passed out behind the wheel, arrested for marijuana

On Aug. 23, at approximately 12:49 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy found a 30-year-old Macomb Township man passed out at the wheel of his car in the 46000 block of Erb Dr.

The man had been drinking alcohol, but his vehicle was not running and so there was no operating while intoxicated charge. However, he was found to have marijuana on his person and was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Shelby Twp. man found with marijuana, multiple pipes

On Aug. 20, at approximately 12:59 a.m., a 19-year-old Shelby Township man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A sheriff’s deputy found the man sitting in his car with the headlights off in the area of Howard and Luzerne drives. Smelling the odor of marijuana, the officer asked to searched the car and found a multicolored marijuana pipe, loose marijuana in a medicine bottle and a large marijuana pipe, according to the sheriff’s report.

Macomb woman arrested for possession of pills without prescription

On Aug. 22, at approximately 1:15 a.m., a 40-year-old Macomb Township woman was arrested in the area of Venice and Murray for possession of analogs.

The woman was stopped for a routine traffic violation and found to be driving on a suspended license. A search of the vehicle turned up pills in her wallet and on the floor of her car. The pills included Xanax, Quazepam and Tramodol. Xanax and Quazepam are classified as schedule IV controlled substances by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

The woman didn’t have a prescription for the pills and was arrested.
