Trio of Macomb Twp. Teens Arrested in Car Stocked with Marijuana Packets

3 Macomb teens arrested in car filled with marijuana

On Sept. 17, at approximately 4:36 a.m., Macomb County sheriff's deputies were alerted to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Black Oaks and Dutch Elm Drive in Macomb Township.

Deputies found three 18-year-old males from Macomb Township in the vehicle, which was filled with individually wrapped packages of marijuana, according to the sheriff's report. Additional packages or marijuana were also found on the teens, deputies say.

The three were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver, according to the sheriff's report. They were taken to the Macomb County Jail.

Drunk driver knocks out phone service to Town Hall, narrowly misses field of football players

On Sept. 19, at approximately 6:11 p.m., a 25-year-old Clinton Township woman swerved off 25 Mile Road between Luchtman and Broughton and hit a utility pole that provides phone service to Town Hall, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Phone service to Town Hall, Suburban Ice Macomb and the Macomb Township Recreation Center was knocked out until the next afternoon.

The woman, who registered a .21 blood alcohol content, suffered minor injuries and was arrested for operating while intoxicated, first offense.

Witnesses to the accident say had the woman swerved in the opposite direction, she would have run into a field filled with youth football players.

iPad stolen from living room while owner home

On Sept. 18, at approximately 6:16 p.m., a homeowner in the 21000 block of East Sunset Drive in Macomb Township reported a home invasion resulting in the theft of an iPad, according to the sheriff's report.  

The homeowner told police he was in the basement when he heard the doorbell ring. He ignored the bell, but later found his iPad had been taken from the living room. The front door was unlocked, according to the sheriff's report.

There are no suspects at this time.
