Because this is a highly-traveled stretch of highway, two lanes will be open in each direction of Groesbeck during peak travel times. However, multiple lane closures will be in effect during nights and weekends in order to complete the project within one construction season.

A total of 3.4 miles of road are due to be resurfaced.
