Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We are writing to you because we are asking for your help. As you are aware, election time is upon us. We know these people and have worked closely with them over the years, working in Macomb Township. The people that we are asking you to support, we know to be ethical and intelligent.

We would like you to consider a few facts before the upcoming primary election on August 7th. First off, Macomb Township is the fastest growing, most financial stable community in the state. We can honestly tell you, that vision and astute financial planning has allowed us to weather the economic storm of the past few years. All of this good planning has allowed Macomb Township to boast a $29 million surplus in the general fund budget. That is extremely impressive, especially in these challenging times. The candidates that we are asking you to support are the people who are responsible for putting us in this fine situation.

Unfortunately, there is another group running against them that does not have the Townships best interests in mind. Three of the challengers slate have sued the Township numerous times and have lost at every single level. This has cost us, the taxpayers, hundreds of thousands of dollars. They are all politically advised by a shady, unscrupulous individual who would like nothing better than to get his hands on the $29 million. He has wreaked havoc in other communities with his underhanded tactics and now he is working behind the scenes here in Macomb Township. These people have slanted information, made absurd claims and will blatantly lie.

We are asking you to support the people who have always put Macomb Townships best interests first. They have financially prepared us for the future. They have enforced zoning laws to ensure that we grow responsibly and safely. They had enough vision to build the premier Recreation Center in all of Southeast Michigan.

Please remember how important it is to vote on August 7th. Because there are no Democrats on the ballot in Macomb Township, the election will be decided in the primary. Remember, if you split your vote between democratic and republican candidates who are running at the county level, you will make your ballot invalid in the primary election. If you have adult children, please urge them to vote. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same. Every vote will be very important. There will be a lot of misinformation coming out in the next few weeks. We wanted to share our first hand experiences. Hopefully, it can help you to make an informed choice. We do not want to hand over the community that we are so proud of, to a group of unqualified individuals who do not have our best interests in mind. Lets continue to keep Macomb Township fiscally sound.

Our Candidates: SUPERVISOR, Janet DUNN; CLERK Michael KOEHS; TREASURER Karen GOODHUE; TRUSTEES, Dino BUCCI, Clifford FREITAS, Roger KRZEMINSKI and Nancy NEVERS.

Sincerely,

Macomb Township Leadership Political Action Committee
