Approved by the board of trustees on July 13, the township’s Parks and Recreation Department will purchase a 12-by-15 foot dance floor for use at various outdoor events.
The floor is waterproof, weather-resistant and interlocks for easy assembly and tear down.

The $1,655 cost also includes shipping and a storage cart to transport the floor.
As the cost of renting a dance floor has often exceeded what it would cost to buy one, Parks and Recreation Director Sal DiCaro said this purchase is expected to save the township money in the long run.
