Officials Dedicate Macomb Post Office to Fallen Marine

U.S. Rep. Candice Miller and others honored Macomb Township native Anthony DiLisio, who died in Afghanistan.

U.S. Rep. Candice Miller and other local leaders dedicated a Macomb Township post office to a fallen Marine on Friday, according to a report in The Macomb Daily.

A Macomb Township native and Dakota High School graduate, Anthony DiLisio died in Afghanistan on on May 30, 2010, while patrolling outside his camp.

The post office, located at 15285 Samohin Drive, is now called the Lance Corporal Anthony A. DiLisio Clinton-Macomb Carrier Annex after Congress passed a bill late last year.

“It’s an honor, a big honor,” Anthony’s father, Lorenzo DiLisio, told The Macomb Daily.
