On the Agenda: What Township Trustees Will Consider

Up for discussion are community development block grant requests and two tax tribunal appeals involving the township.

The allocation of 2011 Community Development Block Grant funds and two tax tribunal appeals involving the township are among the issues the board of trustees will consider during its 7 p.m. meeting tonight at , 54111 Broughton Road.

The following is a short overview of some of the items on the agenda:

  • Public hearing: Held during public comment, the hearing is to discuss possible ways to allocate the township's 2011 Community Development Block Grant funds. Allocated by the federal government, these funds–about $65,000 for Macomb–can only be used for projects that support low- to moderate-income persons or seniors, such as renovation of the .
  • Sycamore Hollow vs. Macomb Township; Tax Tribunal Appeal: Trustees will consider this case in executive session.
  • SalMar Royal Village vs. Macomb Township; Tax Tribunal Appeal: Trustees will consider this case in executive session.
