On the Agenda: What Township Trustees Will Consider at Tonight's Meeting

Building a vehicle garage to house Macomb Township's Dial-A-Ride buses and upgrading the township's video surveillance are up for discussion by the board.

Building a vehicle garage for the township's SMART/Dial-A-Ride buses and upgrading the township wide video recording system are among the issues the board of trustees will consider during the 7 p.m. meeting tonight at , 54111 Broughton Road.

The following is a short overview of some of the items on the agenda:

  • Rezoning request: Reclassify the area on the southwest corner of 25 Mile Road and Romeo Plank from residential to office.
  • : The board tabled a more than $150,000 proposal to upgrade the townshipwide video recording system on May 11. The system, through D/A Central Inc. provides surveillance for the township's buildings. The upgrade would allow the system to be modified to support additional video systems being installed in the Parks and Recreation Department and other township buildings.
  • Review of vehicle garage-SMART/Dial-A-Ride transportation program: The board will continue to discuss construction of a vehicle garage in Macomb Township to house the township's Dial-A-Ride buses.
