On the Agenda: What Township Trustees Will Consider at Tonight's Meeting

Topics on the agenda include awarding the concession contract for Macomb Corners Park, promoting a probationary firefighter and transferring a liquor license.

The transfer of a Class C Liquor License, promotion of a probationary firefighter and award of a concession services contract are among the issues the board of trustees will consider during its 7 p.m. meeting tonight at , 54111 Broughton Road.

The following is a short overview of some of the items on the agenda:

  • Request for a Class C Liquor License Transfer: The license would be transferred from Guisseppi's Family Restaurant to Eugene C. Baratta at 46712 Hayes Road, Macomb, MI, with license to be held in escrow.
  • Promotion of a Probationary Firefighter: After successfully completing the Macomb Township Fire Department's 18-month probation period, a probationary firefighter can be promoted to a paid on-call position in the department.
  • Request to Award Concession Services Contract: The Parks and Recreation Department will award a contract for concession services in .
  • Clerk Comments–Census: Clerk Michael Koehs is slated to discuss the results of the with the board. No word has been given on whether Macomb's larger population will mean more federal funding for the township.
  • Tax Tribunal Matter: In executive session, the board will discuss the proposed settlement agreement between Russ Milne Ford and Macomb Township.
