UPDATE: Nearly 3,000 Without Power in Macomb County

Approximately 3,000 households are without power in Macomb Township, Shelby Township and Utica, according to DTE Energy.

UPDATE 2 P.M. APRIL 16: DTE Energy reports that 2,963 customers in Macomb County—primarily Macomb Township, Shelby Township and Utica—are without power Monday afternoon.

Approximately 420 households in Macomb Township are without power Monday afternoon, according to the DTE Energy website.

Most of the power outages are in the area bounded by 22 Mile Road on the north, Garfield Road on the east, 21 Mile Road on the south, and Hayes Road on the west.

Some homes in Shelby Township and Utica also are without power.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until Monday at 8 p.m. The advisory states that downed tree limbs and power outages are possible with winds gusting up to 50 mph.
