What's Happening at the Township Meeting Tonight?

Tonight's agenda covers a lot of ground, from requests for bids to update township facilities and utilities, to reviewing the recreation center's annual report.

The board of trustees meets tonight at 7 in the , located off 25 Mile Road.

Residents will have two opportunities during the meeting to share their opinion on items listed on the agenda and in regard to other issues in their community.

Agenda Overview:

  • Baker Aerospace Tooling and Machining, Inc. has requested an industrial facilities tax exemption certificate. Trustees have approved several IFTEC's in past months in the hope of adding industry and jobs to Macomb Township.
  • Request to Review Phone Bid-RFP-SV-2011-09: After the township lost phone service for several days earlier this year, it has debated switching to a new service that would update the town hall's aging system and ensure faster repair when needed. This issue has been debated and tabled since early spring.
  • Confirm Approval of Bid Award on Carrier Roof Top Unit for Broadcast Media Center; Jansen Refrigeration; RFP-SV-2011-06: Repairs to the current unit could exceed the cost of purchasing a new unit.
