Dakota's Romain to Catch at Albion College

senior Nicole Romain will be behind the plate for Albion College next fall.
The four-year varsity starter and captain of the Cougars softball team finished her career at Dakota on a high note. She was elected to the first team all-division for the Macomb Area Conference Red Division as a catcher.

"Nicole was a member of our 2008 MAC Red Championship softball team as a freshman and has improved throughout her years at Dakota," said Dakota softball coach Rick Fontaine. "She has worked very hard to reach her goals as a Dakota softball player."
Romain hit .411 this season and had 29 runs batted in.

"Off the field Nicole always has a smile on her face and is always ready to strike up conversation," Fontaine said. "She is a good student and is conscientious about her grades. Nicole will be missed."
